Golf Course Information
Description
Richard Fuhrer purchased the property and changed the name to St. Jude Golf Club. Fuhrer, past president of Oakmont Country Club, an avid player and lover of the game designed and built twelve new holes resulting in the current eighteen hole layout. He transformed St. Jude into one of the most highly recognized courses in Western Pennsylvania. Many matches were played at St. Jude against Oakmont C.C. which lead the Oakmont members to dub St. Jude the "Oakmont of the North,.
